ANGELO MAZZANTI | Advice&Consulting Agronomy Technician
Angelo Mazzanti has always been passionate about nature and the fruit farming industry.
After studying agronomy, he gained several years of experience with leading Italian fruit companies, where he managed and cared for orchards at every stage of their development into a complete, intensive system (from planting to the addition of stakes and supports, pruning, thinning, harvesting, disease prevention, fertilization and irrigation). He also managed the machinery and staff training for cultivation operations and disease prevention.
Within the agronomy department at Advice&Consulting Angelo Mazzanti offers consultancy for fruit farms in the CIS countries, in order to develop correct, effective management of intensive orchards, including pruning operations, management of machinery and maintenance of the orchards through staff training.

ANDREA CAVICCHIOLI | Advice&Consulting Agronomy Technician
Andrea Cavicchioli is an enthusiastic, energetic, skilled member of our team whose studies at agricultural college led him to work with various Italian companies specialising in disease prevention and the fertilization of apple, pear, cherry, peach, plum and apricot orchards.
In his current role at Advice&Consulting, Andrea Cavicchioli supports fruit growers in the CIS countries to manage and maintain intensive fruit orchards using agronomic techniques and strategies for plant protection and nutrition, aimed at obtaining the maximum production, in terms of quality and quantity.

LUCA MAGHINI | Advice&Consulting Agronomy Technician
Luca Maghini has a great deal of experience in the cultivation of apples and pears, stone fruit and strawberries, gained through his own fruit farm and other agricultural businesses both in Italy and abroad.
He has specialist knowledge of the entire orchard development process: driving of the stakes, planting of the fruit trees, installation of support and protection systems, including hail-proof and rain-proof nets, and last but not least, irrigation systems.

LIVIO FADANELLI | Advice&Consulting expert in pre and post-harvest procedures and cold storage
Livio Fadanelli is one of the world’s leading experts in cold storage, pre and post-harvest.
He benefits from 40 years’ experience at the Edmund Mach Foundation, a benchmark for scientific research in the agricultural field, in particular apple cultivation.
With Advice&Consulting he offers support to fruit growing farms by researching and implementing the best strategies aimed at preserving the organoleptic qualities of fruit in storage, as well as extending its shelf life.

GIANCARLO CURZEL | Advice&Consulting Agronomist
Giancarlo Curzel has a doctorate in Agronomy and is a leading international expert in fruit farming. Before concentrating on consultancy work for fruit growers abroad, as well as the FAO, World Bank and the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, he worked in the Trento section of the experimental fruit growing institute in Rome and was the first technical director of ESAT. Since 1982 he has worked on projects abroad as a freelance consultant, taking care of all the stages in the fruit growing process, from plant propagation to in vitro production, greenhouses and irrigation. With Advice&Consulting he assists fruit growing farms in the CIS countries with overall management of their orchards and technical training of their staff.

GUGLIELMO COSTA | Former Professor at the University of Bologna – Agriculture Dept.
Prof. Guglielmo Costa is a former member of the Department of Agricultural Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (University di Bologna), full Professor of Fruits Science at the same university and Head of Department from 1989 to 1991 and 2007 to 2012.
He also served as President of the International Kiwifruit Working Group (ISHS) from 1988 to 1991 and again in 2006, Chairman of Pome and Stone Fruits until 2014 and has held several other prestigious positions, both in Italy and abroad, at the von Humboldt University of Berlin and Plant & Food in New Zealand and has published more than 550 scientific articles. He collaborates with Advice&Consulting on training courses aimed at farm employees as well the research and development of cutting-edge products for the fruit growing industry.
